ABOUT REIKI

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. A Reiki practitioner acts as a channel for the Reiki energy. The energy goes wherever it is most needed by the body of the recipient.

This gentle technique may assist in reducing stress and anxiety, improve sleep and lessen pain.

It promotes healing in the body by encouraging a healthy energy flow.

Reiki sessions have been shown to help with:

*Relaxation
*Anxiety
*Depression
*Pain Management
*Better sleep
*Improved mood and emotional wellbeing

By helping a person experience deep relaxation, Reiki enhances and accelerates our own natural healing process, because the body can stop being stressed and focus on healing itself.

Reiki has been shown to lower blood pressure, anxiety and pain rates for people undergoing surgery. It is becoming increasingly more widely used around the world, even in medical settings where it is a valued complementary practice to other standard medical techniques/treatments.  Reiki is a complementary therapy which works alongside, not as a substitute for, other treatments your healthcare providers have prescribed.
